Position Overview:

 

Foxborough Regional Charter School (FRCS) is seeking a dedicated and experienced Middle School Math Interventionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for math instruction and a strong commitment to supporting students in developing essential math skills. This role involves providing targeted interventions to students who require additional support to improve their math comprehension.  This position is also responsible for monitoring, reporting, and communicating student progress and performance.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Implement research-based math intervention programs to support students in grades 5-8.
  • Assess students' math abilities using diagnostic tools and develop individualized intervention plans.
  • Provide small-group and one-on-one instruction to students based on their specific needs and skill levels.
  • Monitor student progress through ongoing assessment and adjust intervention strategies as needed.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and other stakeholders to coordinate intervention services and support student learning.
  • Communicate regularly with students, families, and colleagues to provide updates on student progress and recommendations for additional support.
  • Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and resources to engage students and promote literacy development.
  • Participate in professional development activities to enhance knowledge and skills in literacy instruction and intervention.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and intervention services provided.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Math, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Massachusetts teaching license or eligibility for licensure preferred.
  • Experience working with middle school students in math intervention or instruction.
  • Knowledge of research-based math intervention strategies and instructional methods.
  • Strong assessment skills and the ability to analyze student data to inform instructional decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with students, families, and colleagues.
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States

This position is a part of the FRCSTA bargaining unit. Salary begins at $50,000 and will commensurate with experience, including professional years of service in a school and educational attainment. Benefits include offer of medical, dental, employer-paid life insurance, 2 personal days, and 403 b with match.
