About FRCS:

Foxborough Regional Charter School (FRCS) is a K-12, college preparatory, public school located in Foxborough, Massachusetts. FRCS seeks to provide students an academically rigorous and integrated K-12 program that prepares students for college in a challenging and stimulating learning environment that instills positive ethical, moral and civil values and prepares students to serve their community as leaders and exemplary citizens. The school currently enrolls 1,700 students from 20 neighboring communities.

 

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to fill the role of ELE Coordinator, a stipend position for FY 24 within our K-12 school district. As an English Language Learners (ELL) Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing programs, placement, translation needs and initiatives to support our English Language Learners. This is a stipend position with a focus on providing additional support and resources to our ELL population and supporting ELE staff.

 

Essential Tasks:

· Collaborate with school administrators, teachers, and staff to identify ELL students' needs and support their academic success.

· Coordinate needs and place for services for ELL students across all grade levels.

· Monitor and assess the progress of ELL students, and adjust support services as needed to ensure their academic growth.

· Serve as a liaison between ELL students, their families, and the school community to facilitate communication and engagement.

· Support staff and families with translation, specifically for report comments and district notification

 

Qualifications:

 

· Bachelor's degree in Education, TESOL, Linguistics, or related field (Master's degree preferred).

· Valid teaching certification.

· Experience working with English Language Learners in an educational setting.

· Strong understanding of language acquisition theory and best practices for ELL instruction.

· Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

· Ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including students, families, and staff.

· Knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations related to ELL education.

 

This is a stipend position with compensation commensurate with experience. The ELE Coordinator will work closely with district leadership and school staff to support the academic success and English language development of our ELL students.
