Role Overview:
We're seeking up to six passionate individuals, including one lead, to form the District-Wide Employee Recognition Committee. This diverse team will develop and propose a comprehensive staff recognition strategy to be enacted district-wide. Committee members should represent a cross-section of our community, including district, teaching, and support staff.
Responsibilities:
- Attend up to two committee meetings weekly/every other week from April 1 to June 14 to brainstorm and finalize the recognition plan.
- Collaborate with HR to develop an annual, inclusive staff recognition plan.
- Design up to three staff recognition events per year (e.g., luncheons, awards ceremonies).
- Propose additional recognition initiatives that align with our goals.
- Create criteria for recognizing service milestones and significant achievements.
- Estimate costs for necessary supplies and resources; obtain quotes as needed.
- Assist HR in implementing the approved plan.
- The Lead Member will manage team logistics, including scheduling and communication.
Must-haves:
- Must be a current district employee with a minimum of 2 years of service.
- A strong advocate for a positive workplace culture.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Creative thinker with innovative problem-solving abilities.
- Available for meetings approximately one afternoon per week or twice a month, likely between 3:15 pm and 4:30 pm.
Compensation:
- Committee Members receive a stipend of $240 for participation over 6 weeks.
- The Lead Member receives a stipend of $300 for the same period.
- The committee will operate within a budget provided by the FRCS Foundation.
